Daniel Grande, Research Director at the CNRS and Director of the ICS, is the recipient of the 2026 APA Distinguished Award. The award ceremony will take place during the 2026 APA International Conference, November 16–18, 2026, in Bhopal, India.
The Asian Polymer Association (APA) is a learned society dedicated to promoting polymer science and technology. Traditionally, the APA honors scientists from around the world each year for their significant contributions to the field of polymers. Over the past 18 years, the APA Distinguished Award has been presented to the following researchers: Prof. Ashok Misra (India, 2008), Prof. Jons Hilborn (Sweden, 2009), Prof. A. Suzuki (Japan, 2011), Prof. Kurt Geckeler (Korea, 2013), Prof. L. Ambrosio (Italy, 2014), Prof. S.K. Nayak (India, 2015), Prof. Philippe Roger (France, 2016), Prof. Dhanjay Jhurry (Mauritius, 2017), Prof. Seeram Ramakrishna (Singapore, 2018), Prof. Laura Teodori (Italy, 2019), Prof. F. Guittard (France, 2023), Prof. Bruno Ameduri (France, 2024), and Prof. Jonathan Knowles (United Kingdom, 2025).
